Looking for people who are hardcore.

open roles
First-principles thinking, questioning requirements, and rapid execution. You need to be a hacker — someone who can take a problem, break it down, and ship a solution fast. Depending on your strengths, you'll lean into one or multiple of three directions. This role usually starts as 1 week internship -> 2 month internship -> FT. responsibilities
1. Backend Infrastructure Scaling the product as we onboard more schools and users. API architecture, database design, fallback systems, performance, reliability — all the infrastructure that keeps everything running as we grow. 2. AI Quality Getting AI to truly align with human judgment across subjective, rubric-based assessments. Building evaluation pipelines, training data systems, and marking workflows — from OCR and handwriting recognition to multi-agent assessment systems that learn from teacher corrections. 3. UX & Product Engineering Crafting a product that teachers and students genuinely love. Talking to customers, figuring out what actually moves the needle, and then prototyping, testing, and iterating obsessively. Think Jony Ive meets early-stage startup — every pixel and interaction matters. --- Our stack: Python, FastAPI, Supabase on the backend. Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind on the frontend.
requirements
Who we are looking for: 1. Intelligence: This role is novel and will continuously adapt — you'll need to quickly learn new skills across domains. We index highly on raw intelligence, which can be signalled through academic achievement, personal projects, or competitive results (e.g. we often hire IOI, IMO, and IPhO medalists) 2. Technical Ability: Strong software engineering fundamentals. Experience with AI/ML, full-stack development, or systems engineering is a plus — but raw problem-solving ability matters more than any specific stack. You should be comfortable shipping production code and learning fast. 3. Drive & Mission: You bring sustained intensity and genuinely believe education is worth dedicating yourself to. 4. **Agency**: You don't wait to be told what to do — you figure out what needs to happen and make it happen.
