TapSpot is a community-driven web platform that helps people easily discover public park amenities such as BBQs and water fountains across Brisbane and Logan. By combining tools with publicly available open data, TapSpot simplifies the process of finding outdoor facilities and planning park gatherings. Our mission is to make outdoor spaces more accessible, usabl, and connected. Whether it is families planning a weekend BBQ, students organising social meetups or fitness groups looking for nearby hydration points, TapSpot reduces the friction of searching and helps communities spend more time enjoying public spaces.

As we grow, we aim to expand amenity coverage, improve data accuracy and collaborate with local volunteers and content creators to build a more comprehensive, user-friendly civic resource for Southern East Queensland and soon Australia Wide.

Volunteer Content Creator
Flexible (3 - 7 / week)TapSpot is a community-driven web platform that utilises AI and open data to help people find public park facilities such as BBQs and water fountains across Brisbane, Logan and actively expanding. We are looking for a creative Volunteer Content Creator to help tell our story and grow awareness on TikTok and Instagram. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor spaces, storytelling and digital content creation. Volunteers choose their own hours and filming locations. Since this role involves capturing content in public parks, we strongly recommend visiting during busy daylight hours to ensure both quality footage and a safe, comfortable environment. This is a volunteer position and individuals are responsible for their own safety and equipment.
1. Create short-form video content (Reels/TikToks) showcasing park facilities and TapSpot’s features 2. Capture photos/videos of public BBQs, water fountains and outdoor spaces 3. Develop engaging captions aligned with TapSpot’s mission 4. Schedule posts using a content scheduling tool (e.g. Buffer) 5. Contribute creative ideas for growing TapSpot’s online presence 6. Promote positive, safe and community-focused messaging
1. Interest in social media content creation (TikTok & Instagram) 2. Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Canva, or similar tools) 3. Ability to visit local parks in Brisbane or Logan during daytime 4. Responsible, safety-conscious and self-motivated 5. Access to a smartphone with camera 6. Strong communication and storytelling ability
